Overview
The PowerSchool Parent Portal website offers secure, private access to student information, including attendance, grades, phone numbers, address, email, and teacher contact details. Parents are encouraged to notify school staff when contact information needs to be updated. Parents can update their own email address information.
You will use the same account as your child matriculates to other schools in the San Diego Unified School District.
Access To Report Cards
Due to the unforeseen circumstances of COVID-19, the school district will not be mailing out or distributing paper copies of report cards. Parents will use the Parent Portal to view final grade information. A jobaid is available.
Access your Account on a Computer
Parents can sign into their account by going to https://powerschool.sandi.net/ and entering your user name and password. Use the navigation bar on the side of the screen to select student information.
Access your Account on a SmartPhone
You can also access account information on your smartphone by using the PowerSchool Mobile app once you have followed the “Creating An Account” directions below. The 4 digit code for San Diego Unified School District is KFTF.
Creating An Account
Use the directions below to create your account. IMPORTANT: Please ignore these directions if you already have a Parent Portal account. (a jobaid is available for download)
- In your browser, go to https://powerschool.sandi.net
- Select the Create Account tab
- Click Create Account
- Enter your name and email. Add your own personal username and password to your account. You will use this information to sign in.
- Enter student name, Access ID, and access password exactly as they appeared in the email you received from our school site.
- From the dropdown menu select relationship.
- Click Enter at the bottom of the page.
- You have successfully created an account. You can now login to the Parent Portal by going to: https://powerschool.sandi.net/
IMPORTANT: You have the ability to enter the Access ID and password for multiple children at once. Please enter login for additional children at this time.
What is Document Delivery?
We will occasionally use a tool called Document Delivery to send parents links to important documents. For example, we use Document Delivery to distribute progress reports and report cards. Parents must opt into Document Delivery. Click this link to learn how.
